Midwife Services

The Midwives Model of Care™ is a fundamentally different approach to pregnancy and childbirth than contemporary obstetrics. I support the 'Midwives Model of Care' which is based on the fact that pregnancy and birth are normal life processes. The application of this woman-centered model of care has been proven to reduce the incidence of birth injury, trauma, and cesarean section.   

Please note we are not taking midwifery clients until late 2021.

Prenatal Care

I provide 45 minute prenatal visits on a regular schedule. This means you have extra time to talk about important topics with me regarding your life, health and wellness. My clients have access to referrals for all the same lab tests, screenings and ultrasounds that are normally recommended for pregnancy.

Birth Options

Clients have the option of giving birth at home, using various comfort measures such as waterbirth. I monitor vitals regularly during labor and I’m trained with birth emergency skills for out of hospital settings.

​If a hospital transfer is appropriate during labor, I help make arrangements and go with my clients to the hospital to get them checked in. Services resume as normal once they are discharged.

PP & Newborn

I believe that early postpartum care is important for the health and well being of families. I offer a 24-48 hr home visit and 4 office visits, to monitor vitals on mother and baby, help with infant feeding and postpartum recovery. For homebirth clients, I am able to file the birth certificate and do all recommended newborn screenings.

Prenatal Care Visits

 If you want to give birth at the hospital, but would like a Midwife to care for you during your pregnancy, I offer in-home (for certain zip codes) and office appointments. I offer self-pay, cash pay and insurance billing options. Please call for special pricing.
